How Augmentation Rhinoplasty Is Done

Filed under: Face Cosmetic Treatments — admin @ 11:55 pm

People who wish to give their noses a more elegant shape by giving it a more prominent angle usually resort to augmentation rhinoplasty with silicone implant. The silicone is usually used to raise the bridge of the nose. Of course, the particular way in which the nose is to be reshaped should blend with the rest of the features of the face. In fact, a great deal of time should be spent with the plastic surgeon for the purpose of identifying the right shape for the patient’s face. Plastic surgeons will have a whole collection of drawings representing general face types and featuring the different nose contours that are suitable for a specific face type or shape.

Among the first things that the surgeon will do is to determine three things about his patient. He will take time to study the structure of the nasal bones as well as the shape and texture of the soft tissue in the nose.

Then, he or she will determine the skin type of the patient, the ethnicity, and the age. This second set of details will be used to model a nose shape that is realistic for that particular skin type, ethnicity, and age. In other words, they are criteria that will be needed to create a pleasing appearance for the remodeled nose.

There is a minimum age limit for performing this procedure and this fluctuates from between 15-16 years of age.

The operation can be done as an outpatient procedure. Local anesthesia is a requirement for the parts of the nose that are to be affected by the surgery. For nervous and agitated people, oral or intravenous sedatives may be used to induce relaxation and stability in the patient.

The incision is then made, followed by opening up the portion of the nose where the implant is to be placed. Medical-grade silicone is shaped and inserted into the space allotted for it and everything sutured in place.

To prevent deformation, a supporting splint may be placed at the sides of the nose.

If the grade of silicone used is correct – medical grade – the substance should be biologically inert. In such a case, the silicone will remain intact for a long time, sometimes even lasting the entire lifetime of the patient. Special attention should be paid to the quality of the silicone to be used. Inferior grades of silicone may melt within the nose. This will not only cause deformation, but also possibly many undesirable effects in the body due to its reaction to the melted silicone.

If the patient is slightly paranoid about the use of silicone, he or she has the option to remove cartilage from other portions of the body and use that cartilage instead of silicone. Plastic surgeons will know what portions of the body cartilaginous tissue can be taken from for the purpose of nose implants. However, this will involve surgery on that specific area.

To avoid falling in with fly-by-night plastic surgeons, the proper information has to gathered from appropriate sources. The experience of close friends who have had successful face cosmetic augmentation rhinoplasty performed on their noses is one valuable informational resource that should not be overlooked.

Nothing says “you” more than your face. It is usually the first thing people notice and the one thing most will remember about you. Technically, your face is your calling card. It announces “you have arrived” and tells the world who you are. Take care of that calling card with a few beauty tips for face cosmetic.

A beauty face mask will go a long way to remove stress and tension to your face as well as treat skin conditions such as light acne, oily skin, dry skin, or aging skin. There are many beauty face masks on the market to choose from, all of which you can perform yourself. A face mask treatment can be obtained at a beauty, day, or health spa. They vary in price from inexpensive to costly. You can also make your own at home with products found around your house or purchased at your local grocery store. Let’s take a look at a few beauty face masks you can create at home.

Oatmeal and Yogurt Face Mask
This mixture is an all purpose face mask for any type of skin. It will cleanse and rejuvenate your skin. Mix together one tablespoon of finely ground oatmeal, one tablespoon of organic yogurt, and a few drops of warm honey. To warm the honey, hold a spoon under hot water for a few minutes. Add the honey to the spoon and let it sit for a minute or so before adding it to the mixture. Apply the mixture to your face and leave it on for about 10 minutes. Rinse with warm water and a warm wash cloth. Apply the moisturizer of your choice if so desired. This mask will make your skin feel silky smooth and flatten bumps and blemishes.

Banana Mask for Oily Skin
This face mask is good for absorbing excess oil from your skin. If you are prone to light break outs, this might be something to try. Mash a ripe banana and mix with one tablespoon of honey. Add a few drops of orange or lemon juice. Apply to your face and leave on for 15 minutes. Rinse with a warm, wet wash cloth. This mixture will reduce redness and spotting.

Avocado and Honey Mask
This beauty face mask is good for dry skin. The mixture will add natural moisture to your skin, especially mature skin. Mash one half of a ripe avocado into a creamy pulp. Mix in one quarter cup of honey. Apply to the skin and leave on for approximately 10 minutes. Rinse off with a cool, wet wash cloth. Apply your favorite moisturizer if desired.

Yogurt Mask for Sensitive or Sunburned Skin
This mask is great for skin irritated by the elements of the weather. Mix one cup of natural yogurt with one half cup of plain oatmeal. If you have oily skin, add a few drops of lemon or lime juice or if you have dry skin, add a few drops of honey to the mixture. Apply to the skin and leave on for 15 minutes. Wash the mask off with a steamed wash cloth, being careful not to burn your skin. Then you will have undone everything the mask just did.

The Top Four Face Cosmetic Treatments

For people who have problems with slight subsidence and relaxation limited to only some areas of the face, “targeted” face cosmetic lifts can be proposed. These include:

  • Neck lifting
  • Eyebrow lifting
  • Forehead lifting
  • Cheeks lifting

In the case of a marked and more uniform aging face the patient is recommended a full facelift: the lifting of head and neck, which aims to rejuvenate the upper third of the face (forehead, eyebrows), the middle third (eyes, cheekbones , cheeks and nasolabial furrow) and the lower third (neck).

The lifting of head and neck offers the best guarantee of complete rejuvenation of the face: in people where signs of aging are marked, in fact, is inadvisable to proceed with “segmental” lifting (only the neck or only the forehead).

Often the patient’s request is directed to one anatomical region that most disturbs her or in which she focused her attention. Accommodate these wishes often means producing a cosmetic damage that increases the contrast between the anatomical treated region and the other untreated ones.

Neck lifting

From the age of 35-40 years it begins to become clearer the relaxation of the neck tissues (skin, tissues and muscles) and the two central ribs of the platysma muscle (double chin). It’s a classic sign of aging, caused by failure of cervical tissues and their loss of elasticity. It’s a very clear imperfection that can be corrected surgically with the lifting of the neck.

For some patients the aging face is limited to only certain parts, such as the neck for example, so a “sectoral” face lift approach can be proposed, one that is limited in size (only the neck,  only the forehead, etc. …).

For other cases, the aging signs are evenly spread throughout the face and the neck area, then the patient must be treated with “complete” head and neck lifting.

The aim of the neck lifting  is to lift and reposition the skin and the muscle groups that have turned relaxed and have lost elasticity. This is an operation lasting two hours if limited to the neck and of longer duration in case of more extensive cosmetic face lift.

If there is accumulation of adipose tissue (fat) the lifting is combined with liposuction of the neck under local anesthesia with sedation.

The scars are hidden behind the ears and in some cases you will require an incision below the chin but it will leave no visible imperfections. After the surgery swelling and bruising of the neck may appear but will disappear by themselves in about 10-15 days.

Eyebrow lifting

It is common to see the tail of the eyebrow down, even in young people, especially males. This feature gives the face a gloomy, worried look.

Correcting this problem is really simple and you can do it as a single process or combining the lifting with the upper blepharoplasty (they share the same incision to access). In the latter case, the access incision is hidden in the scalp. In either case the end result is the rise of the third side of the eyebrow.

This lifting is done in outpatient surgery under local anesthesia.

Forehead lifting

When all the eyebrow is lowered correction is possible by lifting the forehead.

The forehead is affected markedly by the effects of aging, sun exposure, lifestyle (smoking, alcohol, little sleep, stress in general), hormonal changes and shows them with the appearance of wrinkles, accentuated lines of expression and with a lowering of the eyebrows caused by the loss of tone and the collapse of the skin and underlying tissues.

The forehead lifting is the surgery that “raises” and repositions the forehead tissues (skin, tissues, muscle) that have slipped down returning a  fresh and bright look, typical of young people. Unlike surgery limited to the eyebrows it improves the whole appearance of the forehead, eliminating wrinkles on the sides of the eyes (called “crow’s feet), wrinkles of the forehead and glabellar lines.

The upper blepharoplasty can be combine with a forehead lifting, to remove excess skin of the upper eyelid and to get a great rejuvenation of the upper third of the face and orbital area without altering the appearance of the face.

The forehead cosmetic face lift has undergone many changes in surgical technique, it is now a very “soft” procedure for the patients, more than the old technique with coronal incision. It is practice with small incisions hidden in the hair, under local anesthesia with mild sedation in outpatient surgery.

Overall, what the patient appreciates most is the remarkable improvement of the severe expression that affected the patient before undergoing this face cosmetic procedure.

Cheeks lifting

Like the face and neck, the tissues of the cheeks undergo relaxation and loss of elasticity and firmness. This creates the nasolabial grooves, the definition of the jaw is lost and the classic depression under the eyes appears. It’s a normal condition linked to the aging process that involves not only the surface layer of soft tissue (skin), but also the underlying tissues. In this case the remedy is only by means of surgical facelift which may be limited to the cheeks or combined with other regions of the face needing an equal treatment, namely the neck and forehead .

Often the lifting of the cheeks is associated with the rejuvenation of the lower eyelids (lower blepharoplasty) : from these two surgical approaches  the soft tissue covering the cheekbones (lifting of the middle third of the face) can be repositioned that, because of age, have slipped down and caused zygomatic wrinkles.

The cheeks and the middle third of the face lifting is an intervention practiced under sedation with a hospital stay of a few hours after the procedure.

The access incisions are hidden in natural contours of the ear and the lower lid (similar to those of lower blepharoplasty).

Face Cosmetic Liposuction: the No.1 Face Cosmetic Surgery

Filed under: Face Cosmetic Treatments — admin @ 12:02 pm

In face cosmetic liposuction the use of very thin special cannulas permits, in the hands of an experienced surgeon, the return in shape of more harmonious contours of the face and neck.

The mini-incisions that allow the insertion of the cannulas are mostly hidden from view and not leave visible marks on the skin . The anesthesia required for this action is accompanied by local sedation. The infiltration of vasoconstrictive substances minimize the bleeding and the patient can go home immediately after surgery.

The surgical aspiration of excess fat requires an appropriate degree of skin elasticity needed to allow the skin to adapt to new volumes and is performed after the local infiltration of a certain amount of anesthetic and vasoconstrictor substances, according to the most advanced technique of liposuction, called tumescent. The surgeon inserts a thin tube under the skin that goes exactly into the fat excess. Through precise back and forth and arc movements he sucks and shapes the fat responsible of imperfections. At the end of the surgery, and applied the necessary stitches, he applies a compression bandage to be removed, along with points, after 7 days. To accelerate the reabsorption of edema and ecchymosis (normal results of liposuction) it’s recommended to undergo a course of manual lymph drainage and a few sessions of laser therapy.

The face cosmetic liposuction adopted today is far superior in terms of aesthetic quality and safety if compared to those conducted in the past. The thinner cannulas allow a precise action and a thorough remodeling, and not negligible detail, the scars that are practically insignificant. The surgeon pays particular attention to the study phase of liposuction, in order to practice the minimum number of incisions and places them in hidden areas or along the natural skin folds. The administration of vasoconstrictors prior to surgery prevents excessive loss of fluids typical of traditional liposuction and so respects more the tissues.

Liposuction before and after:

Before face cosmetic surgery:

  • Inform the surgeon of any possible drug treatment (particularly steroids, contraceptives, antihypertensives, cardiac, anticoagulants, hypoglycemics, antibiotics, tranquilizers, sleeping pills, stimulants, anabolic steroids, etc..).
  • Stop taking medicines containing acetylsalicylic acid (eg, Alka Seltzer, Ascriptin, Aspirin, Bufferin, Cemerit, etc..).
  • Eliminate or reduce smoking at least one week prior to surgery.
  • Immediately report the occurrence of colds, sore throat, cough, skin diseases.

After face cosmetic surgery:

  • Arrange to be accompanied home by car after the surgery.
  • You can take a shower and return to any sports activities only after the removal of points
  • Avoid for at least 1 month direct exposure to sunlight or intense heat (eg sauna, UVA lamps).
  • The compression garment should be worn for a variable time set by the surgeon and depends on the laxity of the skin and the need to give the desired concavity to the neck.

Cosmetic Face Lifting for a More Bright Look and a Rejuvenated Neck

Filed under: Face Cosmetic Treatments — admin @ 5:46 pm

Face Cosmetic LiftingThe face cosmetic lifting is a surgical procedure used to lift and reposition the facial tissues that, over time, have lost their tone, giving the face a younger and more vital look. It is an effective surgical procedure that became popular in the mid 80s and has a long story of success for many people. It is one of the most required face cosmetic surgery techniques by actors and actresses, showmen and politicians.

Face lifting is not indicated to eliminate “crow’s feet” or wrinkles around the lips, because these are not produced by aging but by muscle continued contraction. For this kind of wrinkles the best solution is face cosmetic Botox, injections of botulinum toxin of type A that prevent the contractions of the muscle it is injected into.

A lifting does not produce changes eyelids or top part of the eyes. If this were the problem you should  undergo a lifting specifically for the forehead and / or eyebrows.

The face cosmetic surgery method called lifting is divided into two parts:

  • Superior or temporary:
Also known as mini-facelift or facelift mannequin, it can be realized as an isolated procedure by elderly people, which don’t need rejuvenating cheekbones and cheeks, it will provide them a more bright look. The techniques consists in an incision from both sides of the forehead to the upper part of the ears.
  • Middle Zone:
It acts on cheekbones and cheeks and in combination with the lifting of the eyelids (blepharoplasty), neck, forehead and eyebrows will complete the rejuvenation of the neck and face. The technique is similar to the superior one but there will be a third vertical cut on the side of the face, next to the ear.

The neck lifting will stretch out the skin and muscles, which over time have acquired a sagging aspect due to aging or hereditary traits and will eliminate the excess fat on the neck and the annoying “double chin”.  Sometimes this technique is performed in combination with a chin liposuction. To perform it the surgeon will practice an incision behind the ear and one on the nape.

These incisions are made by the surgeon to separate the muscles and the face skin, tighten and lift them. Also during the process the excess tissues are removed.

The beneficial results of the cosmetic surgery face lift are well known and lasting:

  • It stretches the relaxed skin and relaxed face muscles
  • It rejuvenates the face in adults. The more advanced is the degree of aging (wrinkles, relaxed skin), the more effective will the rejuvenation be.
